80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot from the Monte Odina vineyards. Aged separately in French Allier casks for 9 months and 12 months in bottle. Dark cherry colour with garnet rim, intense aromas of mature black fruit, blackberry and wild berry fruit of the forest with fine and elegant toasted and spice notes, grilled red peppers, liquorice and hints of mountain herbs, rosemary, dried tobacco leaf and cocoa. On the palate it is full-bodied, with noticeable acidity, mature fruits, red peppers, herbs, toasted notes and underlying silk tannins, very intense and meaty, with a long, enduring aftertaste of rich fruit and smokiness. 14% Vol. Best served with roast meats, game, cured hams and cheeses.
