Selected 50% Monastrell from 53 year old vines and 50% Syrah from the best plots of the estate. The Syrah, from plots whose slopes face north with a limestone composition, and the Monastrell are grown at the lower end of the estate from soil poor in calcareous properties, ideal to concentrate aromatic nuances. The maceration process takes 18 days for the Syrah and 20 days for the Monastrell. Aged 12 months in Hungarian and French oak barrels highlighting its unique character, this is a complex wine with a cherry red colour and purple tinges. It has fresh, intense aromas of red fruits, jam, cherries, plums, toast with notes of liquorice and coffee. A balance of fruit and acidity on the palate with both fruit and sweet tannins from oak blending perfectly, round, fresh and complex structure, long and intense aftertaste. Perfect with red meat, lamb, carpaccio, tapas, semi cured Manchego cheese.
