Carefully selected 100% Tempranillo, harvested by hand at optimum ripeness from vines between 20 and 40 years old from clay-chalky soil from own vineyards in Laguardia: San Cristóbal, La Media Legua, Prado de las Albas and La Laguna. The grapes were de-stemmed and then fermented in 25,000 stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 26-28°C. After 10-15 day maceration, the malolactic fermentation took place in order to ensure the right acidity. It was then aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
Intense dark red colour with a ruby rim. Scented, rich red fruit nose, spice and hints of vanilla. Soft, rich, rounded palate with layers of red fruits, spice and smoky character, savoury and complex with fine tannins and freshness on the finish. Perfect with grilled lamb, cured ham and cheeses. Production: 65,000 bottles
