100% Garnacha Tintorera, indigenous to Almansa, unique for its dark purple flesh, from bush and trellised vines of 20-40 years of age, tiny yields of 1.3 tons per acre. Harvested mid September, a very short maceration with the skins to preserve fruit and soften tannins and low temperature fermentation for 15 days. Vibrant, deep purple colour with rich aromas of cassis, sweet strawberries, raspberries and sage. Persistent flavours of ripe damson plums, red peppers, crushed blackcurrant, wild berry fruit, cassis, herbs and black pepper rounded off with soft tannins and enduring aftertaste.
