Hand-harvested 100% Garnacha Tintorera, selected small bunches at optimal maturity first week October at high altitude 750-900m from 45-60 year old dry-farmed, pre-phylloxera bush vines with yields of 1.2-1.5 kg per vine planted in cool, sandy plots to obtain a wine with sweeter tannins whilst preserving the fruit on the palate, nutrient poor, limestone-rich soils. Aged 6-8 months in American, fine grain, medium toast oak barrels. Rich, full-bodied, deep purple colour, with an extensive range of dark fruit and herbs, smooth tannins. Incredible value.
