100% Tempranillo from hand-picked 70-year-old vines from two plots near Briñas. A wine of distinction. 100% destemming, 16 day fermentation with twice daily pumping over and a total 21 day maceration period with the grape skins. Aged 18 months in new French oak barrels with rackings every 4 months.
Intense deep cherry colour with violet undertones. Very elegant nose, predominantly red fruit, raspberry confiture, with balsamic, lactic, cocoa, chocolate and coffee notes. On the palate, powerful and concentrated, full-bodied, complex, dark fruits, rich, spicy, perfectly balanced and well made. Limited availability 6,588 bottles
